BookMarker
A Chrome extension that remembers exactly where you stopped reading.
What it does
Browser bookmarks save a URL. BookMarker saves the URL and your scroll position, so a long article, a manual or a novel opens back at the line you stopped on. One click, and you’re where you left off.
- The popup. A compact list of saved pages with search, inline notifications and context menus. No account, no setup.
How it’s built
- Tracking. A content script debounces scroll events so it records progress without slowing the page.
- Restoring. State lives in the Chrome Storage API and is replayed on page load, so positions survive restarts and sync with the browser profile.
- Footprint. Manifest V3, vanilla HTML, CSS and JavaScript. No framework, so the popup is instant.
- Privacy. Everything stays in the browser. No external servers, no analytics, no data collection.
